Principal's Message
Dear Giano School Community,
Welcome! I am honored to join the dedicated and talented Giano community. As the principal, I consider myself extremely fortunate to be part of this educational leadership team that focuses on inspiring greatness and impacting the lives of each one of our students. There is great excitement in Gladiator Country! We are PROUD to have been recognized as a "California Distinguished School," a National AVID Demonstration Site, a PBIS Gold Level Accomplished School, and a National Best Community for Music Award.

The spirit here is contagious and I am thrilled to be part of it! Our practice and philosophy is to work in partnership with parents, students, and community members. We will work hard to preserve and build upon the rich tradition and spirit of Giano Intermediate School. All of us at Giano want to make 2021-22 a successful year for your child. We are so fortunate to have the strong support of our active school PTSA and our families. We know that it takes school staff, families, and community members working together and contribute to the world's greatest school. Giano Intermediate School is dedicated to creating a school culture where everyone matters. Students, staff, and community members are dedicated to working together in partnership to everyday demonstrate that we truly believe that greatness begins within each of us, all students can, everyone has a gift, everyone needs a teacher, and we are PRUD of what we do because it matters. I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure that every student that walks through our doors is inspired to achieve greatness and that, when they promote at the end of 8th grade, we have made a positive impact on their futures.
Respectfully,
Mr. Carlos Ochoa, Principal
